{"id":328,"date":"2017-03-31T23:34:02","date_gmt":"2017-04-01T06:34:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/datcracker.com\/blog\/?p=328"},"modified":"2017-06-28T06:41:19","modified_gmt":"2017-06-28T13:41:19","slug":"dat-2017-survey-natural-sciences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/datcracker.com\/blog\/dat-2017-survey-natural-sciences-2017-03-31\/","title":{"rendered":"DAT 2017: Survey of Natural Sciences"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>This is Part 2 of a series of breakdown posts that will outline\u00a0the DAT 2017!<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>On the menu today: The Survey of Natural Sciences<\/strong>, which is the longest section of the test, both in time and in number of questions!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Survey of Natural Sciences is the<strong> first<\/strong> section of the DAT,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">there are <strong>100 questions, and you have 90 minutes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Within the section, there are 3 sciences tested: <em>Biology (40 questions), General Chemistry aka Inorganic Chemistry (30 questions), and Organic Chemistry (30 questions)<\/em>. The content of these questions is limited to the things you learned in your entire first-year course in biology, general\/inorganic chemistry course, and the organic chemistry class. Basically this means no upper level concepts beyond what you saw in those courses.<\/p>\n<p>The<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ada.org\/en\/\"> ADA<\/a> (maker of the DAT) gives a fairly detailed list of topics within the subsections so you can really hone in on certain areas when studying.
